Sorry guys I am a bit late and I missed yesterday. As for yesterday I remember waking up and I remember going to sleep, everything else is a blur....It is great because the day flys by, but then it sucks when you try and remember it. Today has been crazy but not as bad, so I wanted to just say Hi and leave you with a few thought / feelings that I have had the last few days.
Yesterday on my way to work, I was listening to Air1, if you live in socal, it is 90.1 ( I highly recommend it, it is a christian radio station, but I guarantee that it plays music that you will fall in love with) I am not sure if I was just sensitive yesterday more than other days, but I almost cried twice yesterday, I actually had tears formed, while I was driving! The first time was from a 14 y/o girl whose dad is leaving for Iraq at the end of the month, she was asking for the DJ and the listeners to pray for her and her family. She was really sad and scared, since I know the feeling of leaving a family for a military commitment, I could really sympathize with her. On that same note, I got pretty angry. I got angry at the news media, each night you see the news and the updates from Iraq, and what do you see, the # of people killed, the destruction...negative...negative...negative!!!! Now don't get me wrong War is War and it is not pretty, I 100% understand that. However, I just wish the news showed the wonderful things that are happening because we are over there, the millions of people that are alive and have a better life because we are there. Kids and well everyone only see one side, this little girl was scared that her Dad was going to go over there and die, because that is all that the news shows...I was really angry.
On that same note....I am mad at the US people right now, I don't care if you are for or against the war, that is your choice (that is why we have solders fighting for you to have that right). I am mad at the people because regardless of positron they should be supporting our troops. It seems to me, that since we have been there for so long, we have forgotten about the men and woman who are away from their family so that we don't have to be. We ALL need to say a prayer for them and show our thanks in our own little way. If any of you are interested, at Air1.com, there is a prayer wall, that you can get a name of a solider to pray for, or you can post a note for one to read. I can tell you personally that you feel every prayer, and you re-read every note 100 times....
On that note...I love you all....have a great weekend....
